boxed vanilla cake mix  baking powder    butter eggs powdered sugar vanilla extract peppermint extract candy canes

Mix the ingredients in a large bowl -- it's so easy!

Scoop out onto a  cookie sheet

Bake until the tops are set and the edges begin to crisp. Let cool completely.

Beat the butter, sugar, and extracts to make the frosting.

Frost the cookies and sprinkle with crushed candy cane pieces!
